My Research

My research is focused on the area of Photonics, in particular Optical Sensing. I am the Director of the Photonics Research Centre at The DIT.

Modeling and Applications of Fibre Bend Loss
SMS and PLC based Edge filters
Engineering Applications of Optical Sensing (EAOS project)
Optical Fiber Sensor development for strain temperature and a variety of other physical measureands
Smart Sensors for Engineering Structures (SSES project), (MATERA-ERAnet Project)
Micro-fiber and Nanowire sensors for Bio-sensing
